What this list is, and is not

The list is a merged view of the incident histories that each provider publishes on its official status page. Titles are kept in the provider's own words. The duration is the time between the declared start and the declared resolution; for an incident that is still open, it is the time since the declared start.

It is not a list of everything that failed. Providers decide what to declare, and they differ: some post every brief error spike, others only large events. A quiet month for one service may say more about its publishing habits than about its reliability. For the full text of each official update, open the service on the status board.

The same record is available as an RSS feed and as JSON on the badges and feeds page.

Questions and answers

Which incidents appear in this list?

Incidents declared in the last 30 days on the official status pages of the 18 services collected by this site. Each entry links to the provider's own report.

How is the duration of an incident calculated?

From the start time to the resolution time, both as declared by the provider. For an open incident, it is the time since the declared start. Providers sometimes edit these times after the fact, and the list follows the official record.

Why are times shown in UTC?

Incidents affect people in every time zone and providers publish their timestamps in different zones. UTC gives one unambiguous reference that is the same for every visitor and in every shared link.
