What the Vercel status covers

Vercel groups its components by area: Dashboard, Build & Deploy, CDN, Observability, Storage, v0 and CI/CD, plus single items such as DNS, Functions, Image Optimization and AI Gateway.

The official page is vercel-status.com. Everything on this page is read from its public API and shown as declared, with the provider's own wording in incident titles and updates.

Vercel not working for you, but no incident shown?

  1. If your site is online but new deployments fail or queue, look at the Build & Deploy group. A failed build leaves the previous deployment serving traffic.
  2. If the dashboard does not load but your sites answer, the incident is in the control plane and visitors are not affected.
  3. Function timeouts and 5xx responses on one project are more often caused by that project's code or by a database it calls than by the platform.
  4. Wait a few minutes and look again. Status pages are updated by people and usually trail the start of a problem.
  5. Test from another network, such as a phone hotspot. If it works there, the cause is on your connection, VPN or DNS.

Questions and answers

Is Vercel down right now?

The answer at the top of this page is the state Vercel declares on vercel-status.com, re-read every 9 minutes. It is loaded when the page opens, so it is not written into this text. If the page shows "No data", open vercel-status.com directly.

Where does this Vercel status come from?

From the public status API of https://www.vercel-status.com, the official status page maintained by Vercel. This site does not test Vercel itself and does not use reports from users.

Vercel is not working for me, but this page says there is no incident. Why?

Vercel may not have declared the problem yet, since status pages are updated by people and usually lag by some minutes. The problem can also be limited to one region or feature, or be on your own network or account. The checks listed on this page help to tell these cases apart.

Can a Vercel incident stop my site from being served?

It depends on the component. Incidents in Build & Deploy or the Dashboard stop you from shipping changes but keep existing deployments online. Incidents in CDN, Functions or DNS can affect visitors. The component list on this page shows which one is declared.

How long do Vercel incidents last?

It varies by incident. The list of recent incidents on this page shows the declared start and resolution of each one, and the 90-day strip shows on which days Vercel declared a problem.
