What the Discord status covers
Discord reports the API, Gateway, Media Proxy, Push Notifications, Search and Payments, plus groups for voice servers by region, client apps and third-party dependencies.
The official page is discordstatus.com. Everything on this page is read from its public API and shown as declared, with the provider's own wording in incident titles and updates.
Discord not working for you, but no incident shown?
- An app stuck on "Connecting" points to the Gateway component, which carries the live connection between the app and Discord.
- Voice problems are regional. In a server you manage, changing the region override of the voice channel moves the call to different voice servers.
- Images and attachments that do not load while messages arrive point to the Media Proxy component.
- Wait a few minutes and look again. Status pages are updated by people and usually trail the start of a problem.
- Test from another network, such as a phone hotspot. If it works there, the cause is on your connection, VPN or DNS.
Want to follow Discord without opening this page? There is a status badge and an RSS feed for it, and you can pin it so the browser tab icon follows its state.

Questions and answers
Is Discord down right now?
The answer at the top of this page is the state Discord declares on discordstatus.com, re-read every 9 minutes. It is loaded when the page opens, so it is not written into this text. If the page shows "No data", open discordstatus.com directly.
Where does this Discord status come from?
From the public status API of https://discordstatus.com, the official status page maintained by Discord. This site does not test Discord itself and does not use reports from users.
Discord is not working for me, but this page says there is no incident. Why?
Discord may not have declared the problem yet, since status pages are updated by people and usually lag by some minutes. The problem can also be limited to one region or feature, or be on your own network or account. The checks listed on this page help to tell these cases apart.
Does the Discord status page show voice outages by region?
Yes. Voice servers are listed as a group of regional components on discordstatus.com, and they appear grouped in the component list on this page.
How long do Discord incidents last?
It varies by incident. The list of recent incidents on this page shows the declared start and resolution of each one, and the 90-day strip shows on which days Discord declared a problem.
