What the Twilio status covers
Twilio lists its products and, separately, carrier connectivity for messaging and voice by country. That adds up to hundreds of components, so this site collects the overall state and the open incidents, and links to the official page for the per-country view.
The official page is status.twilio.com. Everything on this page is read from its public API and shown as declared, with the provider's own wording in incident titles and updates.
Twilio not working for you, but no incident shown?
- Most Twilio incidents concern one carrier or one country. Read the incident title on this page before assuming your traffic is affected.
- Messages that are accepted by the API but not delivered are often filtered by the destination carrier; the message log in the Twilio console shows the error code.
- API requests failing with 401 or 403 are credential problems on your side. Repeated 5xx responses are what a platform incident looks like.
- Wait a few minutes and look again. Status pages are updated by people and usually trail the start of a problem.
- Test from another network, such as a phone hotspot. If it works there, the cause is on your connection, VPN or DNS.
Want to follow Twilio without opening this page? There is a status badge and an RSS feed for it, and you can pin it so the browser tab icon follows its state.

Questions and answers
Is Twilio down right now?
The answer at the top of this page is the state Twilio declares on status.twilio.com, re-read every 9 minutes. It is loaded when the page opens, so it is not written into this text. If the page shows "No data", open status.twilio.com directly.
Where does this Twilio status come from?
From the public status API of https://status.twilio.com, the official status page maintained by Twilio. This site does not test Twilio itself and does not use reports from users.
Twilio is not working for me, but this page says there is no incident. Why?
Twilio may not have declared the problem yet, since status pages are updated by people and usually lag by some minutes. The problem can also be limited to one region or feature, or be on your own network or account. The checks listed on this page help to tell these cases apart.
Why is Twilio almost always in a minor incident state?
Because its status page includes delivery problems on individual mobile carriers around the world. With that many networks, there is nearly always at least one declared delay somewhere. The incident titles shown here name the carrier and country.
How long do Twilio incidents last?
It varies by incident. The list of recent incidents on this page shows the declared start and resolution of each one, and the 90-day strip shows on which days Twilio declared a problem.
