What the Cursor status covers

Cursor reports its editor (IDE), the CLI, Cloud Agents, Automations, review agents and cursor.com as separate components on status.cursor.com.

The official page is status.cursor.com. Everything on this page is read from its public API and shown as declared, with the provider's own wording in incident titles and updates.

Cursor not working for you, but no incident shown?

  1. Cursor sends requests to model providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic. If only one model fails or is slow, switch models and look at that provider on this board.
  2. Completions and agents need a signed-in session. A failed login or an expired subscription produces errors that look like an outage but are specific to your account.
  3. The editor works offline for plain editing. If only AI features are failing, the problem is on the network path or upstream, not in your local install.
  4. Wait a few minutes and look again. Status pages are updated by people and usually trail the start of a problem.
  5. Test from another network, such as a phone hotspot. If it works there, the cause is on your connection, VPN or DNS.

Questions and answers

Is Cursor down right now?

The answer at the top of this page is the state Anysphere declares on status.cursor.com, re-read every 9 minutes. It is loaded when the page opens, so it is not written into this text. If the page shows "No data", open status.cursor.com directly.

Where does this Cursor status come from?

From the public status API of https://status.cursor.com, the official status page maintained by Anysphere. This site does not test Cursor itself and does not use reports from users.

Cursor is not working for me, but this page says there is no incident. Why?

Anysphere may not have declared the problem yet, since status pages are updated by people and usually lag by some minutes. The problem can also be limited to one region or feature, or be on your own network or account. The checks listed on this page help to tell these cases apart.

Cursor is slow but its status page is green. What does that mean?

Cursor depends on external model providers. Slow answers from one model can come from that provider being under load, which Cursor may not declare as its own incident. Compare with the ChatGPT and Claude pages on this site.

How long do Cursor incidents last?

It varies by incident. The list of recent incidents on this page shows the declared start and resolution of each one, and the 90-day strip shows on which days Anysphere declared a problem.
